Randz Day

So today was a totally random day.

I woke up and devoured a yogurt bowl.

For lunch, I had an Atlantic Salmon Filet in some sort of seasoning marinade. It was pretty good, for from the freezer and nuked quality. This made me feel much better for some reason. I was feeling all icky before this, but the fishy in my tummy made all things right. Also munched on some TJ Choco Crack Cookies… i swear… they are addicting.

For exercise today, I ended up going for a walk/run with the googies. Total distance: 2.69 miles, probably .85 miles of which was ran. Whoo hoo! Then I came home and switched up the fitnessista’s plan, so instead of speed training, I did yoga! Downloaded 25 minute podcast and got to stretching and posing. It felt wonderful, and the podcast that i did was for runners, so it caters to that specific stress being placed on your body.

After this, dinner was 1/2 a slice of luigi’s pepperoni pizza with ranch. Also devoured a couple Biscoff cookies. Then random outing to Club 21! Danced for about 1.5 hours in a very hot (temperature, not eye candy wise), gay club. While at the club, I had a grapefruit and rum drink, which was not too tasty, but can’t complain for 3 bucks. Then came home and decided to eat a snack before getting ready for bed.

Summer Shape Up

So I decided to try to do the Fitnessista’s Summer Shape Up. Hoorays!

Day 1: Strength (at home or gym)

– Took the puppies for a walk that turned into a jog. Walked for about 1.5 miles, then jogged a 1/2 mile. Then onto the Strength Training! 😀

– Bent-over fly (3 sets, 15 reps, 5lbs per hand)

Side lying lateral raise (3 sets each side, 15 reps, 5 lbs each side)

Ultimate toe touch (3 sets, 30 reps (15 per side), 0 weight)

Incline bicep curl (seated at home) (3 sets, 15 reps, 5 lbs per hand)

Cable row (bent-over row at home) (3 sets per side, 15 reps, 5 lbs)

Reverse crunch on a bench (3 sets, 10-15 reps, 0 weight)

Stability ball back extension (3 sets, 15 reps, 0 weight)

Weighted ball crunch (1 set, 15 reps, 5 lbs)

Added in:

Plank work: 1/2 plank – 60 sec
Full Plank: 30 sec

After the work out, I created a wonderful salad beast to devour.

Romaine, 1 roma tomato, 1/2 cuke, celery, craisins, goat cheese, homemade balsamic vinaigrette

I also made my own dressing, adapted from Oh She Glows’ blog.

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 tablespoons balsamic, white, or red wine vinegar (I used balsamic)
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard or regular mustard (omitted b/c i don’t like mustard really)
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 minced clove of garlic (optional) (chose not to, mainly cause of the extra work… i am already tired… lol)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Directions: Toss all ingredients into a bowl and whisk! Makes about 1/2 cup of dressing.

The dressing came out pretty well and I am very pleased with my salad creation. 🙂

Hello lovely world!

Today, I had a follow up contact fitting at the optometrist, to which my sister was kind enough to bring me some starbucks!

Afterwards, we decided to try a new Indian restaurant.

Plate #1 of Indian Feast

This plate consisted of some chili chicken, rice, saag paneer, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, some dal dish, lamb vindaloo and a bell pepper dish. Also eaten with a piece of naan. The little things on the front corner are indian desserts, but they were a little too sweet and marzipan-esque for my liking, so only a nibble of each.

This plate had some butter chicken, saag paneer, rice and a potato pakora.

This all left me super full. It was pretty good. The butter chicken was delicious, as was the naan. The rice was a bit bland, as were some of the other dishes. Overall, I would give it a 7/10, and for the price, would bump it up to an 8. 😀

Thereafter, I went home and watched the new episode of Fresh Meat Challenge with my sister. Then off to the chiropractor! No massage today, and I didn’t feel beat up afterwards. Yay!

Came home, prepared dinner for the fam, noshed on some of these chippies

and then went into the Jacuzzi with some wine once again. Seriously. Best idea ever. This time, I drank some white zinfandel. Pretty good.

After my shower, I came out and had a strong craving for some ice cream. Presenting…

sooo… goood. I will never eat ice cream the same way again. There was just something about this combo that left me VERY satisfied.

Sorry, no pictures taken, but lots of nomz consumed.

Woke up and went to the dealership. Drank about half a cup of coffee. Then my sister picked me up and we went to Old Navy to return some stuff. While waiting for it to open, we went into the Best Western and had some delicious, stolen breakfast… eggs, bacon, juice and biscuits never tasted so sweet… lol…

We then returned home and waited for my optometrist appointment, to which my sister was kind enough to drive me. Afterwards, we went to a chinese/japanese buffet that had recently slashed their prices. $6.99 lunch buffet say what? I had little bites of a lot of dishes. Too many to enumerate. I also had a cookie with choco ice cream on top.

Then we returned home and I did some cleaning and salad preparations for my father. After chatting for a bit with my mom and devouring some of the Yogurt Kettle Chips from yesterday, I started working on some job apps.

I then decided to spend a little time in my ankle’s new bestie: the jacuzzi. MMMMM…. glass of wine and warm jets of water equal a happy Lili. 😀

After showering and such, decided to eat a Tuna sandwich on whole grain bread. Tuna salad consisted of some tuna, some corn, lemon pepper, nutmeg and mayo. Delicious. Devoured the sandwich, along with some pita chips and a diet pepsi.

I am on a King of the Hill kick, so spent some time catching up with my favorite texans. I am on season 6. woot woot.
