Hello lovely world!
Today, I had a follow up contact fitting at the optometrist, to which my sister was kind enough to bring me some starbucks!
Afterwards, we decided to try a new Indian restaurant.
I inhaled the following
This plate consisted of some chili chicken, rice, saag paneer, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, some dal dish, lamb vindaloo and a bell pepper dish. Also eaten with a piece of naan. The little things on the front corner are indian desserts, but they were a little too sweet and marzipan-esque for my liking, so only a nibble of each.
This plate had some butter chicken, saag paneer, rice and a potato pakora.
This all left me super full. It was pretty good. The butter chicken was delicious, as was the naan. The rice was a bit bland, as were some of the other dishes. Overall, I would give it a 7/10, and for the price, would bump it up to an 8. 😀
Thereafter, I went home and watched the new episode of Fresh Meat Challenge with my sister. Then off to the chiropractor! No massage today, and I didn’t feel beat up afterwards. Yay!
Came home, prepared dinner for the fam, noshed on some of these chippies
and then went into the Jacuzzi with some wine once again. Seriously. Best idea ever. This time, I drank some white zinfandel. Pretty good.
After my shower, I came out and had a strong craving for some ice cream. Presenting…
sooo… goood. I will never eat ice cream the same way again. There was just something about this combo that left me VERY satisfied.
Sorry, no pictures taken, but lots of nomz consumed.
Woke up and went to the dealership. Drank about half a cup of coffee. Then my sister picked me up and we went to Old Navy to return some stuff. While waiting for it to open, we went into the Best Western and had some delicious, stolen breakfast… eggs, bacon, juice and biscuits never tasted so sweet… lol…
We then returned home and waited for my optometrist appointment, to which my sister was kind enough to drive me. Afterwards, we went to a chinese/japanese buffet that had recently slashed their prices. $6.99 lunch buffet say what? I had little bites of a lot of dishes. Too many to enumerate. I also had a cookie with choco ice cream on top.
Then we returned home and I did some cleaning and salad preparations for my father. After chatting for a bit with my mom and devouring some of the Yogurt Kettle Chips from yesterday, I started working on some job apps.
I then decided to spend a little time in my ankle’s new bestie: the jacuzzi. MMMMM…. glass of wine and warm jets of water equal a happy Lili. 😀
After showering and such, decided to eat a Tuna sandwich on whole grain bread. Tuna salad consisted of some tuna, some corn, lemon pepper, nutmeg and mayo. Delicious. Devoured the sandwich, along with some pita chips and a diet pepsi.
I am on a King of the Hill kick, so spent some time catching up with my favorite texans. I am on season 6. woot woot.
This post will be a double one to share the goodies I consumed yesterday as well.
My day started with a 20 minute workout on the stairmaster, followed by a little bit of core work. This led to immediate inhalation of the following:
which when added with some flax seed, Craisins, and peanut butter produced a nomtastical yogurt mess.
From here was a trip to the chiropractor, who I am seeing for treatment in regards to a car accident I had a little while back. Massage was awesome, but the correction was a little much, so my neck was sore for a long time and I developed a mild headache. 😦
After this, I rushed to my babysitting job. I realized I was starving and not sure if I would be able to eat for at least a few hours, so on the way, I stopped at McDonalds and purchased some caffeine to keep me awake and some food with which to stuff my face. I didn’t actually take pictures, but here are some stolen from the interwebz.
The sandwich was consumed on my way to babysitting, and the coffee and salad were consumed for dinner with the child. I then had a little dessert snacky a couple hours later
Thereafter, I got to spend some time with my lovely Cherry. I baked a cake and we ate some.
This deliciousness led us into workout number two of the day: a late night run around the area. We ended up running about 1.3 miles and walking 2.2 miles, for a grand total of 3.5 miles traveled.
After this, I came home and had a post-workout meal for some carbs and protein.
and that was the end of what I now realize was a day filled with perhaps too many nomz…
Today was a much calmer day. I woke up and made a tofu scramble for my sister and I to eat.
To create this scramble, I took some chopped up button mushrooms and sauteed them in some olive oil for about 10 minutes. Then I added in some frozen vegetables. The mix I used contained baby carrots, yellow carrots, broccoli and cauliflower.
After the veggies defrosted, I added in the tofu, chopped into pieces and then broken apart in the scramble. At this point, I also added some tumeric, garlic salt, onion powder, salt and pepper. I then added chopped roma tomato with some soy sauce and continued cooking until the tomatoes were soft and delicious.
After we devoured our food, I cleaned the kitchen and then we decided to go on a walk to Starbucks to get some caffeine.
This is my favorite drink. Although maybe not necessarily from Starbucks… 😉
We also went to the grocery store and purchased some chips. We both had about a handful of each type to try them.
Both were delicious and on sale, which makes them even MORE delicious.
My sister and I then decided to stop into Wing Stop for some munchies. We shared the following:
I was actually not a fan of either of these two flavors, so I am glad we shared this. 10 pieces is actually the smallest amount you can order, which I found strange. What if one really did not want that many wings?
We then returned home quickly, trying to beat the rain clouds that seemed to threaten the sky. Once we got home, we chatted with our mother for a while, then had a mini TV marathon, consisting of The Hills, The City and, of course, GLEE!!!
After this, I felt a little peckish once again, so I busted into some nommy oatmeal.
Now I am chugging water cause I feel super thirsty and getting ready for sleeps. I have a super early day tomorrow… as in up by 7:00 at the latest… which for me, is like 2:00 am… 😦
Hello! This is my first post on what I hope will be a fun project. My goal is to track my days through this lovely blog. I plan on focusing mainly on food and exercise, with random mentionings of my daily life. 🙂
This was my first attempt at making collard greens and I think they came out pretty well. 🙂 I sauteed about half a red onion and about 4 cloves of garlic in some olive oil for about 5 minutes, then added the washed and torn greens with stems removed with about a cup of chicken broth. After cooking on low for about 15 minutes, I added some maple syrup, as well as some nutmeg and garlic powder.
This monstrous salad was so yummy. It contained about a half head of romaine lettuce, 2 roma tomatoes, 1/2 a cucumber, 1/4 cup of chicken broth-infused button mushrooms, 1/4 of a roasted beet diced, 2 stalks of celery, lime juice and some balsamic vinegar. 🙂
Just as it says above. Some tea to help me drift off into sleepy land.
Before these eats, I also devoured some delicious Hawaiian BBQ beef with white rice from an L&L type place, and a double espresso with non-fat milk and splenda over ice from Starbucks. 🙂 All in all, a nomtastic day.
